Nosh Grog - MEDFIELD

They are understaffed. We waited over an hour and a half for our food three came out stone cold then the last one came out 25 minutes later. They were less than half full. Also some of their prices were outrageous $18 for a 16oz canned beer? Wow.

While visiting the area my buddy invited me out for a drink at Nosh and Grog. The inside of the building is really nice and decorated very well with appealing soft lighting. We sat at the bar and each ordered drinks and my friend ordered a lobsterappetizer from the menu. I ended up trying a piece of the appetizer and was very impressed by the taste and quality. I ended upordering a second drink that the bar tender had invented themselves. They sold me on it and I will definetly be back to orderanother round of that original drink. My friend and I didn't realize it was close to closing time but the staff had no problemletting us stay to finish our drinks and assured us there was no rush and to take our time to wrap up our conversation. Thestaff was quick and very friendly, and also have many good original ideas.

Couldn’t believe they had Allagash Curieux! The street tacos tasted like the ones in Florida (i.e., completely amazing). Definitely need to come back!

I had reviewed this restaurant back in 2018 when it was a lot better than it is now. Our last experience with Nosh and Grog was as follows: During the pandemic we have only eaten outdoors. Nothing on the N&G website at that time indicated whether they were open for outdoor seating or not. Tried to call the restaurant only to find that it was a text-only line. Tried to send a text inquiring about outdoor seating, and was told that they would text me back at 4PM, as the restaurant was closed. Received a text at 4PM that just linked me to where to make a reservation. So annoying, bad communication. I'm not going to make a reservation unless i know that outdoor seating was being offered. I had been trying to find out about outdoor seating all freaking day! That was the entire point. Finally received confirmation that outdoor seating was being offered, made a reservation via the website that handles it for them. It is not open table. When we showed up for our reservation, the place was super busy. Employees all looked pretty frazzled. No host at the host station but someone who looked like a manager came over to seat us. He asked whether we wanted to sit outside or not, even though i had chosen outdoors on the reservation website. We were seated outside, but no one came to our table for 30 minutes, so we left. No drink order, no I'll be right with you nothing. Other tables were receiving service but our server never came to the table once. As if that wasn't insulting enough, the next day i got an email from the reservation company, saying that i had not showed up for my reservation! I assured the company that we did indeed show up, and told them what happened. Nosh Grog needs to get their oh s together, big time! We can forgive a lot of things, but being ignored for 30 minutes and then being blamed for not showing up is pretty bad imho. We used to like N&G but we will likely never return.

Lots of outside dining nice menu and great service.
