I had high hopes for these crab fries. Since moving back to NY from California, I haven't had them, but unfortunately, I was disappointed. The crab tasted more like a paste than actual pieces of crab, and it wasn't seasoned at all. The fries were also greasy and lacked flavor. I wouldn't recommend them.

The fried chicken and calamari were disappointing and lacked crunch. The chicken had no hint of lemon pepper flavor, despite me being charged extra for it. Everything tasted as if it had been cooked in old, dirty oil. The sauce served with the crab bites didn't complement them at all; in fact, it made them taste worse. This was my first and last time ordering from here. If the appetizers are this bad, I can't imagine spending money on the crab boil. I hope you can improve; I really wanted to see you succeed.

I've ordered delivery from Hook and Reel for the second time, and it's absolutely fantastic. The food always arrives hot, travels exceptionally well, and is incredibly delicious. It's just as good as dining in the restaurant.
