I ordered their #4 specialty, which included 2 eggs, home fries, toast, and a choice of meat (I chose bacon). Everything was fine; there was nothing wrong with the meal. However, it was rather bland, though it didn’t taste bad. The home fries were not crispy at all; they were simply warm potato slices on my plate. While nothing was particularly bad, nothing was exceptional enough to make me want to return for breakfast.
I decided to try this restaurant for the first time today, and unfortunately, it didn’t meet my expectations. My eggs were overcooked, and the bacon was tough. My friend ordered a cinnamon bun, which turned out to be dry, with hardly any cinnamon and no icing. She also tried the cream chipped beef, and it was the worst we’ve ever had—it had a runny, milk-like consistency. When we mentioned our concerns to one of the staff members, her response was simply, "I’ve never heard that before." This lack of concern is typical of someone running a restaurant. We will definitely be sticking with Deiners next door in the future.
The food was terrible. Chicken Hawaiin was very dry, no sauce and chicken was over done. Mac and cheese was gross, tasteless. Scallops were over cooked. Had not been there for years. We are sorry we stopped.
Great food and comfortable atmosphere. The prices are very reasonable as well.
