When you first drive up you wonder, is this really it?? Do I even want to eat here? The answer to both questions is YES!! It is quite rustic but it's got a great and varied menu from seafood to Buffalo burgers! They also have live music at least once a week in the evenings. It's also fully licensed. Worth making the trip to the boonies to eat!
We have visited several times. He always has a great selection of food. You could have trout, beef, ostrich or alligator. Serves a good selection of local craft beer. Staff is friendly and prices are reasonable. Don't let the outside of the building fool you.
I had the pleasure of visiting this unique diner, this past weekend, with friends who eat here every time they are at their cottage. I was blown away! I have to say I was a little skeptical at first appearances and of course the boys kept referring to it as Road-Kill Cafe!! So I wasn't sure what to expect. The food was absolutely fabulous! An incredible array of items on the menu - Kangaroo, Elk, Bison, Crocodile, lamb, seafood, steaks, ostrich, pork, fish... the list goes on and on. The portions were huge!! The deserts to die for! Service was very friendly (and laid back) and fairly quick!! Great place! It's pricey but WELL worth every penny. When we return to the area, we'll be returning to this unique little diner in the Quonset hut.
Outstanding and interesting in one place. There is enough to keep going there. Gravy is a little on the salty side.. cut back on it. Study the menu on their facebook will make it easier for you.
