Regarding the negative reviews, I just don't get it—I am one of the pickiest eaters you'll ever meet, and Maurice impressed me! To those who mentioned they saw him not wearing gloves, I want to clarify that no restaurant that deep fries food uses gloves; it's actually a safety hazard. So when you dine at those high-end chain restaurants, remember that they don't use gloves around fryers, either! I encourage everyone to give this place a try! If I had the chance, I would love to bring Maurice's cooking back to my new home state and show people how real home cooking is done. I wish there were more people like Maurice—he truly made our visit enjoyable! Let's get out there and support our local small-town businesses that serve amazing fish! And for the person who questioned the perch because it was so big—clearly, you've never been on a fishing charter on Lake Erie! Thank you, Maurice, and may your business continue to thrive!

The owner is incredibly friendly, and the food is simply outstanding! This place is a true gem in Meadville's dining scene. I ordered the Walleye, which was fried to perfection and came in generous portions. The atmosphere is also very relaxing.

I ordered the grilled haddock, and it was absolutely fantastic! I also indulged in the homemade coleslaw, which was delightful. My meal was truly delicious! The service was prompt and very friendly. I highly recommend it and look forward to coming back!

We are from Pittsburgh we met our friends from New York here as a halfway point for lunch. Maurice, the owner, is so engaging and very welcoming. The food was AMAZING!! Served hot, fresh, and full of flavor! If you want the best seafood you ever ate at a reasonable price served with a genuine smile, this is the place. Nothing fancy, just good, hot, fresh, quality seafood. You can’t miss this gem while in Meadville, PA!

Ate here today for the first time. The service we received was very friendly. All the food we ordered was delicious, but the fish was so amazing. I didn't even want the tartar sauce. Best breaded fish I've ever had. And those hushpuppies... so good! Price was decent also as the portions were generous. Will definitely be stopping in again.
