My friend recently showed me this place. we always like to get tortas. that was the best experience so far! the torta was so warm and light! they also have the freshest aguas frescas! When I first went, I drank two! sandia and melon! superb! this place is so clean! so clean! I felt very safe to eat there! and believe me, since the whole covid started, we were not much in restaurants. I took my son here to eat because I wanted to share a piece of history! they are in the heart of mcallen. Oh, he enjoyed it like that too! the food was so lovely! I can't wait to bring my mother and other friends here! ps. Hidden in the city of mcallen, but worth the visit. the enchiladas are my goal. They're really hot. don't even try to fool yourself with the level of spicy. I've never been disappointed. Do not forget a limousine for the road. the older man will treat you like family. he's the sweetest viejito.

Omg… I love when a restaurant leaves me speechless. This food is soooo authentic. They are very friendly. We ordered pollo and carne tacos a torta. Best torta hands down and the tacos are ridiculously good. We went back and ordered more for our drive back to houston. Now I really need to brush up on my Spanish lol, they didn’t speak English but they were so friendly as I mustered through my order lol. So delicious and has a family feel. I cannot wait to get back here. Don’t consider any other place, come here now!
