Cafe Funduq - MAZARA DEL VALLO

A quiet corner of Mazara where we enjoyed the authentic flavors of Sicily in a magical atmosphere. The owner, sincere and genuine as his dishes. A beautiful experience that we highly recommend.

As you walk to Mazara you will find this small square, you will immediately notice the church of the Immaculate, 4 or 5 tables and pillows on the stairs of the church. Background music, a relaxed environment. We arrived at 11 a.m. and opted for two glasses of fresh white. Now, ordering wine in an unknown place is always a gamble, go figure out what they give you. First clue. The wine was great, at the right temperature, dry and wise as we like. Unfortunately we were in a hurry and we didn't have lunch. But there came a chat with the host who told us Mazara net of the story telling imperante, returning us an unpublished but authentic version that we enjoyed. Second clue. Music. Appropriate and true playlist, no tunz tunz but not even those robe type jazz or lounge. Music. An hour of peace. I hope to get back to dinner soon. From the collected clues until now I think it will be an authentic experience.

Local in a splendid position, dehor curated, excellent music with friendly and friendly managers. Plentiful portions and good food, sin lacked some important items of the menu for organic stash, so we were told and we bring back! . Excellent the Funduq busiates.

Discovered for lunch among TripAdvisor's proposals, it is a restaurant that at first glance looks like a bar. Beautiful location, on the square with tables with colored ceramics and plants that create a small corner with background of local music. Too bad we couldn't have tried the cous cous, so we went on purpose after reading reviews, because of fishing block: the only thing is that we would have preferred to know before we had already ordered to drink, maybe we would have changed local looking just that dish in our short stop in Mazara. However the products are of quality and well prepared, although I think it is expensive considering that almost all the proposals are from 18 € up and the portions could be more abundant. Example: in the proposed Sicilian culinary path, or similar name, it includes 4 types of typical contours based on vegetables and n. 1 pcs of 3 type of different shrimp in raw and a small beccafico sarda; it is an appetizer, not enough to make meal as indicated by the waiter who served us.

Simple but really good food. Fresh fish.
