Crosby's Pies - Maungakiekie-Tamaki

I have been buying and eating these pies for over 35 years from when the Crosby's Mr Mrs ran it and the quality has never changed just the selection has increased, in that time I moved from Onehunga to Mt Roskill, Mt. Wellington and Manukau and always travelled whatever the distance for these pies, apart from the quality fillings the flaky puff pastry is what makes them. And being a trucker I get around and the only other place that comes a distant second is a bakery at Northern end of Putaruru.

I have just enjoyed the pleasure of eating the best steak and kidney pie I have ever purchased. The pie had all the attributes of a quality pie and some. Plenty of kidney,choice chunks of steak without a shred of fat on them,and a tasty gravy. The pastry I’m not an expert commentator on but it adequately contained the delicious contents until I consumed them which didn’t take long. Keep up the excellent quality Crosby’s and you will deservedly recover the once highly esteemed reputation you once held.

Best tasting pies i have ever had, whenever im in Auckland i make sure i get a good supply of pies before heading back down to Palmerston North.im not sure what they put in these pies but it keeps me coming back every time

I'm a big critic when it comes to pies, I only liked the curried mince. There's a variety but hey I'm picky.
