We were in a pinch to find a restaurant that was open earlier than when most places open up. We were pleasantly surprised at how good the food was at a place that is primarily baked goods and ice cream. The prices were a great value too.

We visited here a couple of years ago and had a lovely lunch. Staff and customers very friendly and helped us choose (we're English! . I've just done a lot of searching on Google maps and found you (hooray as we will be visiting Matera again next week and can't wait to come back for lunch. Wrote this before we went. Went back last week and they were quite rude telling us we were not allowed to sit inside. Had to sit out the back. We explained we wanted to sit in away from the heat but no. Changed my overall rating from 5 stars to 2.

We happened for fast lunch and we would never have thought of eating so well because in the first eye the place seems mainly a Bar/Pastocceria (which for the other seemed really great. ) all fresh and done at the moment we ate some small ears with top of turnip, soft fried and raw pepper. the owners very kind, it was worth it even if there were 40 degrees (we refreshed with a nice cold cream coffee at the moment, not those chemical envelopes mixed with crushed ice!
