Mj's At Buttonwood Manor - Matawan

Maybe Friday July 5th was this place in rare form (it was my first time there) but it was SO LOUD with only a handful of people. I'll try it again I suppose. Let me clarify, if the music was better I wouldn't have been so mad at the volume.

I probably been here about five times over the course of 10 years? The food is always good and the bar is nice and large but the service still stinks. You can sit at that bar and watch four bartenders walk around you and not acknowledge you even when you're waving your hand in the air. Once you get them, they are nice enough but they just don't get it... It's attention to detail. Waiting 15 minutes for someone to ask you if you want to drink after giving you the menu is ridiculous.

Really nice service and food for my birthday meal. Very pleased!

Food here is consistently good. Attentive service good live music.
