I had the cheese steak not your traditional cheese steak, but still amazing. I think they have different things for dinner that I think is great because we're sure to go back. I feel like the price of food is fair considering how good it was. If you're a cheap treasure, don't go here. Its amazing food and great atmosphere. Can wait to see what they have complained about eating for dinner is just trying to be an idiot, our whole table enjoyed their meals.
I rated this restaurant 4 stars because, during my meal, I found myself in need of napkins. Unfortunately, the only available napkin was the one wrapped around the silverware. The issue with this is that once you use it, there’s nothing to place your cutlery on except the table. However, the food was fantastic and delicious, with a substantial variety at the buffet. The cookies were slightly overcooked, which made them quite dry and crunchy. The servers were very polite and cheerful, even though it was early in the morning. Overall, there was a wide range of options available, including fruit, muesli, bacon, eggs, and more.
For dinner, we decided to try Wood Fired Grill. My wife and I shared a few dishes. We started with the Mediterranean hummus ($9), which came topped with extra virgin olive oil, paprika, feta cheese, and olives, served alongside grilled bread and vegetables. It was a generous portion of hummus, and the addition of feta was a delightful touch—definitely a solid appetizer. Next, we had the chopped grilled chicken salad ($14.50), featuring greens, roasted corn, green onions, black beans, crispy fried jalapeños, cilantro, pepper jack cheese, barbecue sauce, crispy onion strands, and ranch dressing. This salad was quite large and would be too much for one person. The ingredients were fresh, and the blend of spicy and sweet flavors was fantastic. Our son enjoyed his kids' cheeseburger with fries and fruit, while our daughter opted for the spaghetti with a giant meatball, vegetables, and fruit. Both kids' meals were priced at $6 and included a drink. Overall, Wood Fired Grill was a great dining option during our stay at the Great Wolf Lodge. Their prices were comparable to those found at similar restaurants outside the resort, and our service was both quick and friendly.
The prices were on the higher side, but I really enjoyed the bacon jam on the BLT; the combination with the bacon created a sweet and satisfying flavor. The bread was hot on the outside and had a nice crispy texture while being soft on the inside. We liked the seed mustard, but the beer cheese didn't quite meet our expectations. I'm not sure if it's a regular thing, but they had a happy hour from 3 PM to 6 PM with half-priced appetizers and martinis, which was a nice bonus.
