Don's - Marysville

I like to stop and have breakfast at Dons. It is a nice place to sit and relax and the food is always very good. The waitresses are always nice. I especially like the ham and cheese omelette and the eggs Benedict.

We visited for the first time during mother's day for brunch and the place was packed. The workers were very friendly and attentive. There was only a 15 minute wait time to be seated due to the high volume of customers dining in during our visit. They have extensive menus similar to your local brunch restaurants. Our orders were taken within 5 minutes of sitting and just another 15 minutes waiting to be served. The food was great! We had the chicken tenders with fries, burgers, a wrap, and corned beef breakfast plate. The only downside we experienced was being asked if we needed a box about only 5 minutes into eating. I only had 1 and a half out of 6 chicken tenders when the employee asked. When 2 of our party were still eating trying to finish their food (while we boxes the other 3 food the young employee asked if she could grab their plates and if they were done... While they're munching on their food. Hopefully the next time we're back, we get to enjoy the experience. I'm aware it was a busy day, however while we were seated, there was no line and two tables were available next to us. The food was definitely good for the price and the restaurant had a nice ambiance. Will definitely be coming back on a better day :

Don's never disappoints. I love their many dishes. Especially the deep fried mushrooms. But seem to never order anything but the taco omelet. It is so yummy and there is nothing like it anywhere else. They serve breakfast 24 hrs a day! The taco omelet is topped with guacamole, sour cream, and salsa. It comes with has browns and choice of toast. (I always like sourdough. The helpings are generous. I have a difficult time and great discomfort if I try to finish the entire meal at once. I usually have a nice snack for later! Food is priced good for awesome quality and portion. I always go in the evening and when I do the server working is always great!

The service was good. Our server was as expected. What I mean by that is that she did what a server is supposed to do. At least I can say I have no complaints! I can also say that she didn't go out of her way or do anything to make our experience memorable either though. The restrooms were clean. The food was good. I got bone in buffalo wings and they were pretty damned tasty! All in all the experience was good not great but, good.

I'd label this place as family friendly, which may raise some eyebrows because of the bar in the back. This was a pleasant stop for us. The staff was kind and courteous and our server went out of her way to meet my requests despite having to handle the front dining area alone. I'm a single dad and that courteousy was appreciated. Expect standard American diner fare with all types of food served at all hours. I'd suggest accompanying children to the bathroom, because the patrons of the front dining area and bar seem to share bathrooms. I never got a bad vibe from it, but who knows.
