The Marulan Bakehouse

Just under 2 hours from Sydney, the historic town of Marulan is a convenient stop off. It's very close to the Hume Highway and has the bonus of a number of historic buildings. The Bakehouse is opposite the small but charming 19th century Royal hotel...which looks like it has not served customers for many many decades. Quite simply, their sandwiches were some of the best we have ever had; a choice of three breads with very generous fillings and indoor and outdoor tables. And the staff were excellent, genuine country hospitality!

A wonderful bakery, café for a quick bite. the cakes are mouth-watering although a little on the expensive side now. worth a visit

The employees are extremely nice, the food is fresh and affordable. Their donuts are a must-try. They also offer mini pizzas, fresh bread, and more. It was a wonderful break during a long trip, especially considering the remote location.

Eating is amazing! Great variety and very tasty. Will definitely call back! Nice staff

Baked goods were heavy, stodgie and not a good experience more of a warning not to stop over a second time. He hoped better.
