The Blacksmith Tucker Box - MARULAN

This restaurant is a wonderful spot for a quick bite or to dine in. The food is top-notch and the town it's located in is a quaint place to take a break on your journey either south or north. The owner/operator is very friendly as well.

This restaurant is a great spot to enjoy a meal outdoors in the sun. Their pizzas, available on Fridays and Saturdays, are especially delicious. On other nights, they offer freshly cooked chicken and salads. Additionally, they serve fresh sandwiches and excellent tea.

The restaurant offers prompt and polite service with a wide variety of dine-in and take-out options. The menu includes delicious pizzas with a variety of toppings to choose from.

We often stop off at Marulan for a coffee on our way to or from Sydney. Usually we have it at the Truck Stop or the Meridian Cafe or the Tearooms (if open). However, this time we tried this little cafe. It is small with only a few tables and an emphasis on takeaway food but it is pleasant to sit in and the coffee is really very good. In fact better than coffee we have had recently at the other places here. There is also a range of home-made cakes and slices for very low prices. I tried the banana and almond slice ($2.50) which the owner heated up and buttered for me. I noticed that it is open much longer hours than the other small cafes, which could be handy if we are travelling late in the day. (It's closed Monday.)

Nice little cafe on the main (only?) street in this small town. Outdoor seating, nice food, good coffee, devent prices.
