Pizzeria Da Gianni - MARTINA FRANCA

We arrived shortly after 8pm on a Saturday evening and was served promptly with a load of gusto and Italian hospitality. I found the pizzas to be the best in puglia over my month of travels in that region, and the draft moretti beer is very much welcome. The meats are passable (we had bombettes and sausages though I would recommend to stick to the pizzas. These guys are the real deal for quality and value. A testament to that was the steady stream of folks coming in shortly before we left at nine thirty or so. It was the most packed restaurant I have seen so far. Will definitely revisit if I have the chance again :

We stayed near this restaurant, which was recommended by our host. We were the only clients at 8:30 in the evening, but the place filled up quickly after we arrived! We shared a pizza, which was plenty, and had an appetizer--service was excellent, food was fresh and tasty, and it is an obvious favorite of the locals--many were known by name and greater accordingly!

Normally I do not rave over a pizza, as it is an interpretation of an existing idea. This was though a very good interpretation, and delivery, of the good old pizza. The pizza base was well cooked, not doughy and soggy, the topping was plentiful with an excellent quality crudo on the San Danieli. There was also a huge range of pizzas that I had not come across before, so a repeat visit will be required. The restaurant is large, bright and airy with plenty of room around the tables. The welcome was warm and pleasant we were offered a menu in English although we do not need, a nice touch. This is a pizzeria and serves pizzas only in November (this may be different at other times of year) and they coped well with my wife's cheese allergy. RECOMMENDED

Sono stato diverse volte in questa pizzeria, è tutte le volte la pizza ha sempre rispettato i canoni della vera pizza napoletana, credo che il segreto sia proprio il pizzaiolo, Alessio, un ragazzo che ci mette davvero tanta passione. Bravo Alessio, bravi tutti
