Un Centro Macrobiotico - MARSALA

Set menu (complete vegan and organic quality) for 10 pp. Delicous soup and a main dish including 4 components: salad, pasta, risotto and mixed vegetables. Every day other set menu. Owner speaks limited english, but is very charmful, very warm and open-minded. The place seems not special at all, but the food was delicous. Furthermore, he gave us two Oranginas and talked us into two sweet pieces (both vegan and without sugar as he had assured us). The cake cream was made of rice milk and almonds. At the end we bought some products from his organic assortment. How much we finally paid for each product or component of our lunch we don't know, unfortunately the price policy is very opaque. Nevertheless highly recommended

Found this Charming little health food shop and macrobiotic restaurant in Marsala. The owners speak limited English but they understood vegano requirements. They explained that there entire set menu (A soup and a main course) and a jug of tea. It all came in at a very reasonable €10pp. There was a very tempting selection of vegan cakes and desserts all totally vegan we were told. The dish was comprised of a section of smaller options all put together wonderfully. There was also a great selection of natural cosmetics, Italian specialities like pesto, locally milled sea salt, pastas and fresh fruit and vegetables to pick up. The only annoyance was that many businesses in this part of Sicily don 't take card so make sure you carry enough cash around with you.

It is a set-menu, macrobiotic restaurant. They serve a soup as an opening, then a main dish with cereals, some legumes and some salad. You may top it with a dessert (2 or 3 choices). The food comes with warm Bancha tea. Pros: it 's cheap (around 12€ per person), peaceful (you are requested to switch your mobile off), there 's usually no need to reserve and there 's a little shop of bio food inside the restaurant. Cons: They don 't use much wholemeal grains (but they have a good choice of them on sale in the shop). The food is very simple, most of the time just boiled and spiceless. NB Its correct name is Un Punto Macrobiotico (UPM)
