You have a few private rooms for quieter, more pleasant restaurants. But you would have to be a group of 10 to qualify for one of them, and usually only if you book in advance.
The establishment was set up nicely, the food was decent but fell short of being authentic Chinese cuisine. The Cantonese woman who served us had a questionable attitude – it was unclear if she was the manager or not. She seemed familiar, but was not very polite, which was a bit unusual.
The food is good. This is the place where you go to have several dishes and share it among a group of people. There were people of all ages from 2 3 years to seniors. We had the duck, dumplings, pancakes, beef with...birds, ribs. There's a hot and sour soup that's really good. The staff is very busy. They do not serve tea, alcohol-free drinks and beer a hard liquor. Some people ordered steamed rice and the whole rice cooker was brought to the table. There are a variety of foods to order and everything is delicious. The place is half porcelain, half melamine. If desired, you can get a fork if you are not your cause. For a group of 7 you get a round table with a lazy Susan in the middle, which improves the experience.
Dayali serves decent Beijing duck. It is very clean and not as oily as those of other competitors. Portions are somewhat small and pre-preppt, so you don't see a cook that cuts the meat from the bone. I enjoyed the chili-fish fillet court... more than the duck.
The restaurant is located quite far from downtown. The duck dish is excellent, but everything else on the menu is mediocre. The food is served very quickly and in a haphazard manner, leaving little time to enjoy each dish before the next one arrives. Despite this, the duck is definitely worth trying.
