For our main course, we shared the white mushroom and rosemary pizza along with some French fries. The pizza was good, but it was excessively oily, while the fries were just okay. We chose to sit outside after getting our first drinks at the bar. It wasn't very busy, but the waitstaff was scarce and it was hard to get their attention. The water was served in plastic cups from a carafe, but there was no ice, which was a bit odd. Honestly, I'm uncertain if I would return, mainly due to the prices and the youthful staff running the place.
The food here is fantastic, especially the pizza—it’s incredibly soft, really the softest I’ve had. They’re well-known for their square pizza, and coming from a New Yorker, I can definitely vouch for it. Overall, the staff is cheerful and friendly, but at times, the atmosphere can feel a bit rushed. The bar is the main reason for this fast pace, but fortunately, it’s not too noisy, which is a nice touch. I ordered takeout this time, and the service was great.
However, the seating arrangement was quite cramped; our table was very close to the one next to us, and people kept bumping into our pizza board. For a more comfortable experience, I'd suggest asking for an outdoor table, as the indoor tables are packed closely together. Those at our table who ordered the chicken Parmesan were pleased with their choice—there are different sauce options available to suit your taste. The entree came with three homemade gnocchis, which we had to wait for as they didn’t arrive with the rest of our meals. They were a bit mushy but still delightful in the blush sauce. We also shared the sausage and peppers dish, which had a nice balance of spicy and mild flavors—definitely a must-try! To drink, we ordered the saltwater martini, their version of a watermelon martini. It was quite sweet but enjoyable. The bourbon lemonade was also a hit with our group. Just a heads up, drinks took a long time to arrive, so plan accordingly if you want a second round, especially on busy nights. Our total bill was around $300 for a party of six, including a few drinks. I would consider returning during a quieter weeknight for a more relaxed experience.
I believe I've found my favorite pizza and Caesar salad! My husband and I decided to switch things up this week instead of our usual takeout pizza on Monday night, and I'm so glad we did. We ordered the square Italian Vegetable pizza along with a Caesar salad, and it was absolutely delicious!
