Excellent. Our regular go-to Chinese restaurant was closed, so we decided to give Hong Kong a try and we were not disappointed. They were extremely busy, so there was a bit of a wait, but I took this as a sign of their good quality and, sure enough, their food was as tasty and fulfilling as expected. The staff was working hard to get all their orders ready, including Uber Eats orders and they were very attentive. They have a TV inside and a few chairs, so we were able to catch up on the news while waiting for our food and I also noticed a small piece of great art made by a kid. That was really nice and it made us like the place even more. We ordered the BBQ ribs and the sweet and sour chicken with wonton soup and egg rolls. Everything was delicious.
Been there twice now. Teriyaki chicken both time. Very fresh chicken, perfect amount of teriyaki sauce. Not drenched like some others do. Also steamed vegetables were very fresh. You can tell because the mushrooms had a good texture instead of looking and feeling like mush. Broccoli, bamboo, celery were also very fresh and steamed nicely. Very nice quality of Chinese takeout. Quick turn around time as well.
I've been going here for years to pick up food. Reliable, clean, good English and yummy.
I can't understand why HKBBQ has a rating lower than 5, especially when compared to other Chinese restaurants in the area. For just $30, including tip, you can easily feed two hungry adults, and if you spend a bit more, you can enjoy some truly authentic home specialties. They offer a wide variety of dishes, including genuine Chinese BBQ. Maybe the misjudgment in ratings comes from locals like me who are trying to snag a table on the weekends?
