Belmare - MARCIANA

I've been coming to elba for decades, and I've never had such a great dinner in the most beautiful and expensive places of the island. the chef works very well and proposes creative, ambitious teller who use local and fresh ingredients....Kudos! the weinlist has many local options: not all are excellent, but these are usually very pleasant local wee to combine well with eating, and are very honest too expensive. eating is overall with what they place in much, much more expensive places that I speak about fine eating / a star. of course, they do not get the full fine culinary experience as the ambiente is beautiful (the terrace has a great view of sunset between corsica and capraia), but not luxurious, and service is attentive and care, but not perfect. but for the price they really cannot ask for more. try it yourself!

Belmare is a great family hotel with nice restaurant. They have a brilliant cook, my hat's off to him! We were 4 nights in this hotel and had 4 dinners and 1 lunch here. Everything was delicious and interesting. The restaurant is open for non-hotel...guests too. The price of menu is reasonable and there is a beautiful view of Corsica from the terrace!

During our roundtrip in Italy, the chef of ristorante Belmare made the biggest impression on us. He is a magician when it comes to food, and makes his own courses unlike everything else. We were served a meal consisting of tuna tartar, squid sous vide...and mussels, and fish as a main course. The rest of the staff was also very nice and the food was fresh. It was a wonderful experience and we are so happy to have been there. Good wine and not expensive. Thank you Belmare!
