La Parada Del Mar - MARATEA

We had excellent starters of fish (la parada del mar with tuna and Tropea onions, musky outputs alla Luciano , savoury pie with salmon, filled and fried anchovies, shrimps with strawberries jam. The main dishes were excellent as well (Molinese and Nononna one with a basis of codfish and shrimps blended with delicious local ingredients (sweet peppers peperoni cruschi , olives, almands. We didn 't take the second course as we were full but I can only say that we were showed directly the fish of the day wich was fished some hours earlier and looked great. The sorbetto was a superb end-note. The service was very good, the staff very friendly and the atmosphere excellent. It 's much better than more expensive and renowned other local restaurants. I suggest this restaurant to everyone that like to combine traditional and contemporary taste.

Had lunch here recently and have no complaints about the food or the service. I thought the decor was refreshing, the tuna well cooked and the service attentive.

The place looks from the outside like a hat. The inside and tables are fine. The view to the neighbors roof not nice. The prices are outstanding for south of Italy, not the dishes. The waiters are friendly, but not trained professionals. The starter costed 24 Euro and was nothing typical from the Basilicata, the red wine had 30 plus degrees temperature, as they have no wine cellar or cooler. The pasta was a mini plate of ravioli for 14 Euro, the grilled fish with vegetables costed 22 Euro and was swimming in oil. Finally, as an Italian with roots from this region I know that there are much better restaurants and with realistic prices.

La Parada del Mar è un luogo molto accogliente e gestito da ragazzi giovani e con tanta voglia di crescere e migliorare. Il locale offre la possibilità di guardare le partite di calcio, gustandosi una buona cena. I primi sono buoni, anche se ho trovato poca identità nei piatti e poca maestria nel gestire al meglio la materia prima. Complessivamente ho avuto una buona impressione e ci ritornerei volentieri.

Io e i miei amici abbiamo fatto tappa in questo locale mangiando una pizza che è risultata ben cotta e gustosa. Spero di tornarci presto per degustare i piatti del ristorante.
