On its Main Street this fabulous Bar Castillo has a modest look about it both inside and out, but do not let that fool you. This is the sort of place you talk about when you return from holidays. It is a true Spanish experience. We spent a week in the area outside the tourist season, yet it was constantly busy with local trade, always a good sign. It seemed to be family run. Everybody seemed to know each other. On our second night there, we were on nodding terms with a few people. By night three the staff knew our order! At exceptionally cheap prices they fed us with the best tapas offerings I have experienced anywhere in Spain. The staff were beyond friendly, managing to befriend us despite the fact they they did not have a word of English between them, and our few words of Spanish were hardly enough to hold a conversation. Places like this are gold, and turn an average holiday into something special. I cannot recommend this bar and it’s staff highly enough.
Lovely Plato Completo Pork Green Peppers Eggs Chips. Cooked to perfection and the alli olli sauce was to die for.
Visited here with my family who live near by. What a treat!!! A bit if proper Spain. Firstly the drive up there is stunning. It was great to sit with the locals and enjoy a beer. Had a few very delicious tapas. A must if you are in the area.
Paramos en este lugar por que nos pillaba de paso, y fue un acierto. Comimos bien y barato. La camarera muy agradable.
Bar/restaurante donde va la gente del pueblo. Buenos bocadillos y cerveza fría. Cocina tradicional. El servicio correcto y los precios populares.
