Il Riccio - MANDURIA

I was sent there by the landlord of the apartment I rented in S. Pietro in Bevagna but it was AWFUL! I was there on holiday with my mother and our reservation was for dinner at 8pm on a Tuesday evening. We were the first to arrive, the restaurant was empty when we were seated outdoors, and we were probably the last to be served. While more people arrived, their orders were taken, their food was served, and they would pay and leave before we even got our main course! They were all locals so they got better treatment. The food ok in part, but as a seafood restaurant they only offer 4 seafood main course: tataki tuna, swordfish steak, octopus and fried calamari... when asked if they had specials of the day (seafood restaurants usually have the fresh fish of the day.... they were puzzled and said they had none. I had ordered spaghetti with urchin (spaghetti con riccio.... supposedly their special and it was really poorly made, it resulted in spaghetti lost in a watery soup with a dried up pale yellow piece of urchin that resembled a crumble of a kitchen sponge to wash the dishes... probably from canned product, definitely not fresh. By 10pm I was asking several time for a dessert menu, ordered some sorbet that never arrived. The service was very disorganized and they were all running around asking for the same orders but not food would arrive to our table. By 10:30 I went to the cashier/owner and asked if I could please have the bill while telling her we never got the sorbet, she said she3 would take it out, I pointed out that if she could have it delivered bow we would eat it but she replied she would rather take it off our bill!!! I was so offended! So I told her the service was awful and she just gave me the bill.... NEVER AGAIN!!!! In addition they had stray cats in really sad conditions with minge walking in front of the entrance/exit of the kitchen.

Service was perfect, everything on time, very helpful and polite, dishes were delicious, infredients fresh, atmosphere and location TOP!

Very good seafood restaurant. Attentive staff, anxious to please. We had seafood gratin to start with melanzane polpette, then spaghetti with prawns and a ravioli like pasta with cheese and tomatoes. All dishes were delicious, accompanied by lots of lovely bread. We also had two beers. Other diners were having fritto misto di pesce, which looked amazing! Worth a visit!

Open place, cozy, friendly and courteous waiters, relaxing music, good advice to combine wines with appetizers, first and second dishes. we were good thanks to the next we will return

Local staff well-kept and well-kept prepared and very friendly, friendly owners and excellent food available carefully prepared by the owner cook care in the preparation of the dishes with fresh and quality products. Saturday even if the place was full did not make us wait much and especially the children were served immediately. make the difference because they care about the details. we will definitely return
