I went to the Han's Cafe one night for a birthday party. The service offered was fantastic. We got to dine upstairs in private. The whole dine-in area was absolutely perfect and the night went fantastically. I ordered noodles and it was delicious! You certainly get your moneys worth. The cake at the end was perfect too.
If your on a budget and you like Asian food than hit it up for dine in take away . Hit and miss if the meal will take u to Asia.
Talking about "Asian food" is like talking about "European food" -- it covers a lot of ground. I ordered tom yum noodles, which is Thai. The noodles were OK, but the soup was neither spicy nor tart, as tom yum soup should be. My dining companion has hawker-styoe noodles, which were in copious supple, but had no flavour apart from sweet chilli sauce, no doubt straight out of a bottle and very little meat. We has a pot of Chinese tea for two, which was not refilled. The meals were large, but not very interesting. By the way, I was charged a 2% service fee without my knowledge for using a credit card. Had I been infomed, I could have easioy paid cash. The location is pleasant, but the food is disappointing.
Not sure if this cafe is under new management but it's not as fast in the service dept as I once remembered it. Latest visit before watching a show at the MPAC had us concerned we wouldn't get our food in time, it all turned out well but only by prompting the waitress we needed to get our orders taken. Seemed under-staffed to handle the busy nights, especially when you are going from there to the theatre or the cinema afterward. You might want to have a spare 20-30 mins to allow for ordering in case you arrive and find a few tables waiting ahead of you. Once ordered the food didn't take nearly as long to arrive I'm glad to say and it's good for the price. As I've only gone for the lower end of the menu prices I can't comment on the higher priced meals. It could have been a bit hotter, again this could be juggling the orders and trying to keep up. You probably pay for what you get in this cafe and that's fine by me, you can go in on a tight budget, ie family or party of kids, or as a couple with more expensive tastes and be suitably catered for.If Han's can put on more staff and speed up their service I would give this a Very Good rating but not from my current experience. If it weren't for being a reasonably priced alternative in that area then I couldn't see it being popular for long.I doubt you will have any issues when people traffic is light.
