Sandbar - Manchester

We ordered a focaccia and a classic pizza, but they both looked identical, aside from the shape. The focaccia had sparse toppings and the tops of the air bubbles were blackened/burnt. It was decent while we were there, but afterwards I felt the heaviness and dry mouth from the saltiness, so I didn't mention it at the time. The service was quick and the staff were friendly. The paging system for picking up orders was effective.

I have been visiting Sandbar once a year for the past twenty years and have always enjoyed it. Despite some negative reviews, I find this to be a bit of a Manchester institution, although a relatively new one. Locals come here to enjoy a few beers with friends in a cozy, historic setting. If you're looking for pampering, this may not be the place for you. Today, I had a delicious pizza and the staff and service were great - not too intrusive. Ordering through the app was simple and easy, just like at most places.

Lovely staff and relaxed atmosphere. Great choice of beers although this time I enjoyed a delicious coffee. Well worth a visit

Nice bar if you want to go for a drink, but I’d avoid ordering food. My colleagues and I all ended up with a stomach ache after eating pizza there.
