The curries at this restaurant have improved since our last visit when it was known as Nawaab. The curry is now thicker, more flavorful, and less oily. The starters were good, but the daal has changed and I preferred the old version. The old daal was the highlight of my visits during the Nawaab days. Now, the highlight is the curries with Merzee. The lamb chops were also much better - moist and flavorful. I didn't experience any digestive issues or nausea after eating, which I had previously when it was Nawaab. I used to dislike the watery, oily, and bland curries they served. The only downside is that popadoms are now charged for, which seemed cheeky at £26 per person plus the cost of drinks, especially since it is supposed to be a buffet. It was nice to visit one last time since the changes, but I won't be returning due to the price.
Normally only like the stake and fish pakoras they was full of oil and very small amounts left to pick they didn’t refill and the stake wen I asked for two pieces I was told no it’s only 1 per customer to start with it was a small piece ridiculous as that’s the only thing I had save your money your better off somewhere else
It’s was Royal Nawab and changed the name to Merzee I thought Nawab was worse but this was Merzee was worse than worse
Absolutely disgusting food the service is terrible it’s not what it used to be the chicken wings were dry and raw
