The Current Kitchen - Manchester

Convenient for hotel guests to eat in the hotel. Understaffed but waitress/host was very friendly and attentive. Food was very good. Problem: Only furnished as a bar . Mo proper takes/seating for meals. Makes eating a meal awkward. Also, food was very very slow with diners told the kitchen said they were making everything from scratch. Not really a reason. Presume the real reason is understaffing in back of house as well as front.

(J)/Joyce P was our server, bar tender and greeted us with a warm friendly real smile and made us feel like we were her only table to wait on. She was very efficient at her job and helped us choose some delicious cocktails and appetizers while waiting patiently for us to place out dinner orders. She also helped us choose menu items and our food was all delicious, served fresh hot. We do think the chairs do not fit the tables, not enough room for drinks, food etc. , as you really have to sit almost sideways or lean, stretch to reach food, drinks, so the look is great, but it's not comfortable. The couches are very comfortable, but not good for eating. This is our 3rd time eating here and we absolutely love the staff, food and will definitely be back soon. Very nice waitstaff and hostess. Great food! Will go again

Time of day was 2:15 pm Very quiet and slow. Found a waitress named Erica who had been there for 2 wks. She was friendly and helpful. Husband had a hamburger, I had a haddock sandwich, both came with fries. Nothing special, but was good.

Took over an hour just for our waitress to get our drinks, meanwhile there were several open tables and very few diners. Then after delivering our second round of drinks and our appetizer, seemed bothered by the fact that we were wanting to order actual food (as we had our baby with us) which also took a ridiculous amount of time for it to come out.
