Pastrami On Wry - Manchester

This is a sandwich shop that also serves breakfast. We visited for an early breakfast, and our waitress was excellent—A+. We received our coffee quickly, served in large mugs with plenty of refills; however, the coffee was quite weak and watery. I ordered the Hungry Man, which included two pancakes (rather bland), one French toast, two pieces of bacon, two sausages, three eggs, an English muffin, and "Hash Fries" made from shredded potatoes. My dish allowed me to sample a variety of items; I found the English muffin and the Hash Fries quite good, but the rest were just average. Liz had the Meat Breakfast Skillet, which consisted of two scrambled eggs, onions, peppers, mushrooms, and cheddar cheese served atop bacon, ham, and shredded potato hash. She also ordered two pieces of raisin toast that were burnt to a crisp, yet they still served it to her. She was not impressed. The prices are reasonable, but the noise level is high. The weak coffee is a significant drawback, so we probably won't return for breakfast. However, we plan to come back for lunch to try their deli sandwiches and Hosmer soda.

The food and ambiance were fantastic. I felt a bit sorry for the staff who had to stay an extra hour because we arrived late with a large group. Despite that, the food was served hot and was prepared exactly as we requested. Their other restaurant, Ketchup and Mustard, located on Main Street in Manchester, is just as excellent.

We dine here quite frequently. Both of my kids really enjoy it! Tonight, we celebrated my son's birthday here, and he was thrilled to turn 5. He even shared his excitement with the friendly waitress, who joined in the celebration by wishing him a happy birthday! As we were finishing our meal, the waitress surprised us with an ice cream cake drizzled with chocolate syrup and a birthday message written in chocolate on the plate. It was such a wonderful surprise! He was overjoyed and declared it the best birthday ever! Thank you so much!
