Great Northern - Malta

Enjoyed the experience of staying in one of the oldest hotels in the area. Had a lovely meal with a very friendly staff. Rooms were clean and accessed with an actual key.. adding to the ambiance. Beds were ok, slept well. Rooms: 3 Service: 4 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Great value

Didn’t stay here, but ate in the restaurant. From the time we sat down, to the time we got our food two hours had lapsed. Our server was nice, but the lady helping the other table we were with was unbelievably rude. I ordered a steak medium rare, came out well done and cold. Everybody’s food was cold. Giving an extra star for our server.

It is a restaurant with a steakhouse menu and pricing but cafe level food. Not bad food but very underwhelming steaks in terms of flavor, tenderness, and most of all size. The 10 oz tenderloin might have been 6 oz as it was the thinnest tenderloin I had ever seen served anywhere.

We stayed here on our tour of the west. Needed a place to stay to get off the road. Staff was very friendly. Rooms are dated but very clean. We were at end of hallway so quiet. No elevator. Cafe attached and had a good breakfast. Great economy find! Would stay again if needed in future. Rooms: 4 Service: 5 Location: 5
