Anyway, we needed luch as a stop on our trip to the coast and that looked what info I... could glean. There is only one menu for lunch. You can have a burger and dessert or a choice of two starters, two nets and two desserts or cheese. For beginners my wife and I chose fish grilles. It was beautifully presented with a good salad and dressing, but the grilles were quite bland. I did it, but my wife left half. For the net I chose the face (what I think is pollen) with a red pepper sauce. It looked good, but again Blande was and I was glad that there was salt and pepper on the table, as obviously they had none in the kitchen. My wife had Breton sausage with apples, apples and mash. It looked, and after her it was terrible. Slices of sausages and apple swim in apple and mash that looked like wallpaper paste. I didn't want to taste. My dessert was apple and rhabarb crumbs. Unfortunately there was only one teaspoon of crumbs as it was pretty good. My wife had cream caramel. It looked like Butterscotch Angel Delight. Coffee was fine and service was good. Beautiful outdoor covered terrace and ambience in general was good. Nearby is the Museum of Brittany Resistance, which I warmly recommend. Beautiful location, very well done, but some of the stories are very disturbing. At least these heroes are remembered.
Dinner last night was a treat. The kitchen is definitely a cut over the usual French tariff offered in Brittany. The decor is eclectic and has a certain modern touch. Service is excellent. The whole meal of en bouche to coffee... was delicious. The calfs were so tender with a very tasteful jus, and the cod and scallops cooked nicely. Great value for money. An absolute jewel of a restaurant.
Great ambience, good food, immaculate clean and top cook! This was our third or fourth visit with new owners and every time the food was great. Don't change!!
I loved everything about this restaurant. Decor, atmosphere, service were all excellent and the food is excellent! Excellent value for money too. It was so good that we returned the following night for a new menu of pleasures. If you like food, don't miss it. A true...Gemmi of a restaurant with a very talented chef and fantastic house front. Thanks 'Le Pont 9' for an extraordinary double French treat!
