The Kings Head - Maldon

The atmosphere at this restaurant is fantastic, with friendly locals and a welcoming owner. They offer a good selection of reasonably priced drinks and are dog-friendly. We will definitely be returning!

My grandson and I went to this restaurant for lunch and were warmly welcomed by the owner. The food was delicious and freshly prepared with no frozen vegetables. We enjoyed the atmosphere and will definitely take advantage of the parking and walking to the river before our next meal. Thank you.

Stopped for lunch on a Friday after a walk around Tollesbury Wick. Friendly atmosphere with plenty of locals chatting. Seems many had pre ordered from the short menu so down to only two choices. However it was good food and drink. Note it was cash only. After 2 years of being encouraged to use contactless payment I rarely have cash but fortunately had enough to cover the cost.

This is a wonderful local pub in Tollesbury which has a great landlord Paul and friendly staff. The Sunday roast is the best and I cannot think when I had a better one. Looking forward to returning for a drink and another Sunday roast. Martin and Laura

Stopped for drink and ploughmans lunch after a 6 mile coastal dog walk. Friendly staff and locals. Good beers, dog was welcome. Lovely food. Fantastic considering all the post covid restrictions. Well done.
