Bake fish is a must and I would recommend getting fried brinjal and fried mushroom as snacks. Note: If you hate the hard sale, you will be advised not to enter Portuguese settlements.
Nice people that serves food with a heart. Food is serve by each table and they plan the sequence of serving. Gives you the family feel. They do not over sell and prices are reasonable to us. The food is so good that we come back for more on second day. We pampered ourselves with their butter cheese crabs. It was so good that we ended up ordering another serving. Highly recommended for those that want a cosy place for some family style food.
Tried the recommended dishes and they were absolutely lovely. Esp the butter garlic lala, those are definitely a must try! Was a bit quiet when I visited (weekday night) but hopefully it gets more crowds over the weekends
Butter-garlic clams devil curry were really delicious with rice. Uncle was so friendly nice, and the lady staff too. Good portions. Our first time having commando fries (crinkle-cut potatoes in a tangy/sweet/spicy sambal sauce with ikan bilis onions) and it was surprisingly tasty. Good portion size. Area was clean wait wasn't too long (we were early at 6+pm on a weekday with 4 other tables occupied). If you're dining as a couple, the watermelon drink (bomb) is more than enough for sharing. Much better experience vs the owners of the sea-facing stalls who keep pestering visitors to try their stalls.
This place does not look like much and simple looking but is a hidden treasure waiting to be rediscovered every time. Devil/ Devil Curry, Mayonaise Crab and Brinjal are my favourites. Will highly recommend to anyone wanting to taste good and authentic Portuguese Eurasian cuisine.
