フィードバックを提供するSadly, not the same. We are happy for the post fire reopening, but unfortunately not the same as Bev 's baby. The crab pizza was super yummy, as always. The sashimi Napeleon was missing or short on radish sprouts and mostly smoked salmon, delish, but not the same. We were not disappointed just noticed the difference. The disappointment was the ribs which tasted like basic crockpot fair. Nothing special, no kick, no meat candy no smoke, no carmelization, just a very basic saucy ribs. The fries were good, but coleslaw lackluster. It was expensive for lunch and probably should have stuck with pup 's. The service was excellent, as always, and some of the same friendly, long term staff and general vibe. I want them to do well, so was hesitant to complain, but do not order ribs.
Food, service and atmosphere were all terrific. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Dissatisfied with entree's. Chefs special which was fried Ono was overcooked which made the fish tough, dry and chewy. The Risotto was also bland and underwhelming. However, the appetizers were better than the entrees. The sashimi appetizer was very good as was the French onion soup. The pork belly baos were also very good. The dessert of pineapple upside down cake was disappointing. It did not taste like the cake was made in-house but tasted store bought. Ambiance is nice and relaxing no problem here. The service was also very good. It's quite expensive for the caliber of dishes they are bringing to the table. They should do better.
What a special place near Paia and/or on the way to the road to Hana. You need a reservation here, although it wasn't a house when we stopped on Friday. The hotel is located in a reused general business, this place is full of charm. Make sure to see a back space filled with art from local artists. Always love a place that supports the local art community. Our server Betty was the best in class. She was knowledgeable, passionate and infectious. If you are happy enough to be served by her, you are in good hands! Chef Beverly Gannon deserves all the awards you will see on the walls because their creations are delicious. The menu has some of their dishes they say that you find nowhere else, but we did not try to give you a review. Ask what they are if they tickle your imagination. We had the crab pizza (discovered and delicious), the Paniolo BBQ ribs (wonderful) and the Chopped Chinese Chicken Salad (refreshing and crisp). We really enjoyed everything. We hope to be back to Maui during our next trip.
Fantastic local spot for a meal! The food and drinks were excellent, and it was wonderful to see how friendly the staff and patrons were. I would definitely return. They tend to get busy, so making a reservation is advisable. Service: Dine-in, Meal type: Dinner.
