Antonio's Maitland Upstairs

The noise level was a bit too much for my liking, but the food and service were excellent. I really enjoyed the outdoor patio as well.

Do not pay attention to the negative reviews, this place is a perfect 10 out of 10! What an incredibly charming restaurant. My husband and I spotted the balcony and decided to give it a try. As we entered the lower part of the restaurant, we were pleasantly surprised to find a store/bakery/restaurant all in one! We were given the option to dine downstairs or upstairs for a more romantic atmosphere, and we chose upstairs without hesitation. When I mentioned I was feeling a bit chilly in my dress, one of the workers or perhaps the manager kindly offered me her scarf. Such a sweet gesture. We were promptly seated upstairs and instantly fell in love with the place. The food was outstanding, the staff were consistently friendly, and the ambiance was elegant. We make it a point to come here for date night every chance we get, and it always feels special. During our last visit, our server even placed our napkins on our laps and set out our silverware for us. Such thoughtful service. Simply put, we are absolutely smitten with this restaurant!

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The food consisted of delicious home-style cooked meals. I ordered the rosemary chicken, while my boyfriend had the chicken with artichoke. Both dishes came with baked vegetables topped with optional cheese. We enjoyed a glass of Riesling with our meal and finished off with a slice of carrot cake for dessert. The restaurant also had a store inside with a variety of Italian items, including desserts, deli items, and meals to-go. Our server, Mace, provided excellent service.

I've heard great things about this restaurant for years and was excited to go. This was during the week leading up to Christmas, so that may have been a factor in a less than amazing meal. The service was very slow and our waitress was not attentive to our table. Some of the meals served at our table were very tasty, some were good. Not every meal was served hot (this was a party of 7 people). The chocolate cake was disappointing, seemed like a cake you could get at any mid-priced restaurant, and most likely not freshly baked. I'll give this restaurant another chance, but I won't be in a hurry to do so.

Nice place. Chicken parm was excellent. Chicken piccatta was fair, chicken was too hard. Service was excellent. Disappointing, ordered stuffed mushrooms, unfortunately waiter came back to table to let us they were out of mushrooms.
