While the service was excellent, we found the food to taste stale and overpriced. My rib plate included five ribs, tater tots, baked beans, hush puppies, and cole slaw, all for $15. Considering the portion size, I would have expected more ribs for the price. As a visitor to the area, I do not plan on returning to this restaurant and will not recommend it to others traveling to Maggie Valley.
The restaurant was surprisingly disappointing. We arrived late one night after skiing and were greeted by unfriendly staff. I ordered a large pulled pork sandwich, while my friend ordered a small one. However, the sizes were nearly identical. I received only three small hush puppies as a side, while my friend got a generous portion of fries, although he said they tasted burnt. The barbecue was the worst I've ever had - it did not taste like authentic Carolina barbecue, was dry, and the cold sauce provided was not good. To top it off, the prices were high for the poor quality. I paid seven dollars for my sandwich. I do not recommend this place. Save your money.
