We are regular visitors of peppers as we loved the taste of their food, but late when we visited the place last month, eating was pathetic and the service has also gone very badly. we ordered for fish in banana leaf. that turned out very salty and also her prawn curry was very thick. reis was totally cold. when we complained about eating the waiter, he gave a deaf ear and never bothered to replace it waiter sagar as we asked him his name.) mostly the owners rommel and julio are very friendly and offer a good service, but on this day both of them were missing from the restaurant. the portions of eating become less and the prices have risen too much. rommel and julio take this review kindly seriously, as I have heard from my other friends, to get awful about her too.
We were last here before pandemic in 2019, and I am very glad that peppers still served delicious food. Although there is a little difficult parking (there is a school over the road,) we managed to slit our car into a room. nothing wanted to stop me! the restaurants are not huge, but the seats are not full. it is a perfect place for all, families, friends and couples alike. the staff is great and a special thanks to clam who cared for us royally. the drinks came fast, the food was delicious, and the serradura (which I waited for 3 years to try again) is still the best in goa! we make this restaurant regularly! thank you, enjoyed every mouthful!
Mustels were cooked for perfection. ssame honey chickenskewers were juicy, our daughters enjoyed them a lot. we also had hakka noodles with garnel, which were also great. we had homemade wine that is a harbour wine. it's a little sweet, we had short cooler cocktails for our daughters. these are highly recommended for children. the ambiente was great, the personal was attentive. the prices were also appropriate. a visit must take place when they visit this part of goa.
Pepper's serves some of the best steaks that I have tried yet. Even though I haven't had much steak in my life, i can very easily recommend this place to anyone. I ordered the beef steak stuffed with Goan pork sausages and topped with pepper...sauce to give that spicy kick. The steak was cooked perfectly and was very moist. I did get couple extremely chewy bits, but that just gave me the time to savour the taste of the sauce. It was beautiful. The boiled veggies and the corn was a nice twist to. The only thing that I wished was better was the mashed potatoes they served with the steak. The taste was fine but that creaminess that I was looking for was missing and there wasn't much on the plate to experiment with either. The balance in the protein and carbs was slightly off in that regard. And one other thing if any of you guys from Pepper's is reading this, please invest in a table mat. My plate kept sliding on the glass top while I am trying to slice into my steak. Next I ordered a slice of cheesecake with a drizzle of strawberry sauce. You can also choose blueberry sauce, but I went with the red beauty. The cheese cake was absolutely blissful. The sauce was little too sweet and syrupy to my liking but a little of that with the cheese cake was so good that I wanted to order another one but had to refrain myself from getting carried away. May be next time. Later on seeing the cost of that slice on the bill made me glad that I didn't go for a second plate. But still I am not complaining it was money well spent. Anyhow to sum my experience into a nut shell, the restaurant serves the one of the finest steaks in Goa and the cheese cake is awesome. I would highly recommend the pepper sauce on your steak. Happy Fooding
