Restaurante Sol da Madalena

Had limpets and fishcakes to start okay, but not spectacular. but then a beautiful head of the fresh fish of the day had excellent. simple restaurant with good and courteous service and sea view are excellent. 70€ two appetizers, fish. the day for 2, 2 beer, bottle wine and a common dessert.

The restaurant was tidy and clean with tables outside for nice weather. the windows next to our table looked like they could open up to make it a more beautiful culinary experience. we were immediately supervised by a few who were friendly and helpful. I ordered a...poncha and got a real poncha. it was made right and fresh. that made me more likely that whatever came out of the kitchen I would really enjoy. we ordered the espada com banane frita. it was served with a hot, beautified vegetable plate and another of cold, chopped vegetables. the meal was excellent! also the desert was great. the brot they brought was also very tasty. the dame suggested coral when I asked if they could recommend a beer. it was a local brand of madeira and I enjoyed it very much. the service was excellent and the couple was very friendly and helpful. I understand that this is new management and a new menu. we had hoped to get a nice picture of the sunset over the road, but the weather did not cooperate, but the dinner was on it. we would highly recommend this restaurant and would if back in madeira, definitely eat there again.

I visited with a group of 12 and we all had a fantastic meal not a single complaining of everyone. my 10-year-old son said it was the best picado he ever had, the fish espetada was also very good. the owner made us. welcome and all the workers were very helpful and polite. can not wait to go back

Do not expect something fancy but price/performance is excelent. nice people, fast service. very convenient since it is located next to the beach
