Nu-way Weiners - Macon

The food was excellent, but the tea had a sour taste. That's why I'm giving it a 3 out of 5.

I've been enjoying Nu-Way for 40 years, and I never get tired of it or forget to visit when I'm in Macon.

I was very disappointed with my experience at Nu-Way. This was my first visit, and it will likely be my last. I ordered a scrambled dog and fries, which only cost $9—a great deal these days for anything under $10. Unfortunately, the food was dreadful. The bun was burnt to a crisp, rendering it completely black, and it made the entire plate taste like charred bread. I can't understand why they wouldn't just toast another bun instead of trying to mask it with chili. It simply doesn't make sense. How much could a single bun cost—$0.25 to $0.30—and it would take just about 30 seconds to toast? It's disappointing that they would rather lose a customer than ensure their food is prepared correctly. What a shame.

Love, love, love this place. I once drove from North Atlanta to this location for chili dogs all the way. Nu-Way is it time honored place to eat either alone or with friends. If you think there?s a better chili dog in Macon, you?re wrong. Lol

I like the location and the feel of the place, but this location has had semi stale buns the last two times I have been. Never had that at the other locations. Other than that, it has all the wonderful Nu-Way goodness.
