Lucky Bean Coffeehouse

The Lucky Bean would do well in cities that already have great coffee houses. Discovering it in a beautiful yet secluded location like Mackinac Island was like finding money in the pocket of the jacket you only wear for special occasions the good time you were having just got even better!

Very crowded. Not much seating. One young lady sat at a table for 4 at least an hour reading while ignoring larger groups (many seniors) coming in she could have moved to a stool at a bar. Maybe they need a sign for 2 or more for the 2 tables they have.

What an incredible experience! This is the best place on the island for coffee! The owner, who grew up here and attended Oakland University, puts a lot of care into crafting each cup. Take your time to enjoy the amazing pour-over coffee. Support the locals while enjoying outstanding brews!

This place is amazing, primarily because of the incredible aroma. While many coffee shops have a delightful smell, this one is truly heavenly. I ordered a Chai Latte, and it was easily the best I’ve ever had! The staff was also very friendly. My only gripe is that the shop is a bit small and the service was somewhat slow, although that's common for most places on the island since it's usually bustling, even before the peak season. I will definitely be back on my next trip to Mackinac!

A must-visit on Mackinac Island! The staff is incredible, and the coffee is absolutely delicious. They offer a great selection of baked goods, both in-store and online. My husband won’t drink any other coffee! We even have a stash in our closet.
