Noticed this place was quite busy for lunch as I was walking to the old town from Part Dieu being quite hungry I decided to give it a try as I noticed they had a lunch special pork loin on the blackboard. I'm so so glad I decided to eat at this restaurant because the service was so friendly despite my poor skills in French they still welcomed me! I started off with a tomato and eggplant pastry dish which was delicious and a good entree to the main course: pork loin with roasted potatoes and onion. The meal was fantastic value at 13 euros. Drinks are a tad on the expensive side but it wasn't an issue for me.
This was a really lucky find. Really hot day in Lyon and we saw L 'Interlude with just one small table available outside but in the shade and relatively cool. L 'Interlude is slightly off the tourist trail and was full of locals having their Sunday lunch. We were quite late so were lucky to find a table. We had been sampling Lyon 's fine dining the night before (see review on Flair wonderful) so all we really wanted were salads. The salads were absolutely great lovely fresh leaves. tasty tomatoes and other salad ingredients, perfectly seasoned. We shared a dessert equally good. Nice wines by the glass and very good coffee. Charming and efficient service. Caution though they don 't serve dinner and close early on Sunday evening.
We’re staying around the corner and found this via TripAdvisor. Turned out to be a great find. Great lunch duck for me, fish for my wife, option of wine in a 500ml size which we prefer for just us 2. We rounded off sharing a tarte tartin.. 45euro for the lot and a really friendly vibe with accommodating staff. We’ll go back to try out the tapas menu one evening. Recommended.
Very friendly local cafe had drinks, tataki and beef tartare, both well prepared. Relaxed atmosphere.
