Rusty Wagon Old Tyme Food - Lynden

The Rusty Wagon is most definitely one of our favourite breakfast restaurants in the area. The food is always cooked to order, good portions (read not too much) and the service is consistently top notch! For those older types (we fall into this category) they even have a “seniors” section for slightly less portions with a price to reflect these portion sizes. We have been meaning to get here for lunch dinner as well, something to look forward too!!

Service was good. The kids really loved their food. The adults liked it. Basic comfort style food in a fun background. I don't think you can go wrong here.

Classic country diner food. Well worth the trip off the beaten path.

There are a few places left locally owned that make your heart sing like this. The environment is next level. I would go just to see the memorabilia alone. What a wonderful staff, an amazing menu. Nothing you get will be bad. It's all going to be tremendously great. Especially if you're looking for breakfast. That is my absolute favorite there. You just can't go wrong from the environment, to the staff, to the food. The prices are great, and the proportions are immense. Absolutely one of my top 5 favorite places in Whatcom County. You might be one of my top THREE actually. Side note: I really appreciated as well their amazing community support during very challenging times with Covid. I could not have been more impressed by the way that the owners handled that entire situation. I would just like to applaud them after the fact if nobody has. I'm sure MANY have, but I would like to add MY applause as well. I truly cannot imagine Whatcom County without them. They really make a giant contribution to this area and I hope they are here till the end of my days.
