Trattoria La Capanna - LURAGO D'ERBA

I ate in this restaurant 2 weeks ago on a Saturday evening. The service was efficient even though there is only 1 waiter and the restaurant was almost full. There is a wide variety of dishes with extremely good prices. We had 2 starters and 2 first courses, which were really, really huge portions. Myself and my husband are big eaters but we were really stuffed and couldn't go on to a second course. My dish with pasta and artichoke sauce was plenty for 2, as was my starter caprino cheese rolled up in speck). Being greedy we then shared a dessert cheesecake) which was also very tasty.The wine list is not bad either, again with very honest prices. I looked around to see inviting second courses, both fish and meat and so I'll come back again but will definitely sacrifice my first course beforehand!

Went there for lunch on a sunday, service was excellent (attentive, friendly and professional), food quality OK but i would not say excellent, we had fish as main course and the fish was not fresh (from frozen), other than this everything was quite ok (2 rounds of antipasti, 2 pasta dishes, fish and meat, ice-cream and cake as dessert). I may come again but surely won't order fish.
