Black Bass - Lumberville

I have been going to the black Bass for years. The food is always amazing and so is the staff. I recently went for an early dinner for my mother‘s 80th birthday. When I entered the dining room, it was on the warmer side. When we were seated, I asked if they could turn the air down. I was told it was as low as it could get and that they’re having issues with the air conditioning. I was also told that it was an ongoing problem. We ordered our meal and it seems like the more people that came in the hotter it got. By the time our meals arrived. It was so hot and uncomfortable , I actually felt nauseous. Most of us didn’t finish our meal and wanted just to leave. This was super disappointing. I feel that the Black Bass dropped the ball on this one. When you are spending upwards of $350 on fine dining There is no reason not to have the dining room properly cooled.

We went lunch at Black Bass Hotel, reservation is highly recommended. Food is on the pricey side, but fresh and delicious. My friend had cod, said was really good, large portion. My crab

We have been there many times, it has always been great, wedding there great etc, highly recommend to try if local or passing through, also alot of history behind the black bass

We used to come here for brunch before the baby was born. Man that was fun. Going to brunch....having a drink. Whenever you want it. Ah well... On to the Black Bass. We always sit at the bar in the back, its my favorite place. The bartenders on the weekend are always great. It doesn't matter who it is. They hire well, and the drinks are always great. Their beer list is hit or miss sometimes, but the cocktails make up for it. They will make whatever you want. The brunch food is fantastic, particular emphasis on their appetizers. I like the bacon wrapped scallops. Its on the water, and the entire place is old but beautiful. Plenty of outside seating in the warmer months.

Staff are cordial, friendly, and polite. Food is okay, it needs the salt and pepper that's already on your table when you're seated. They give complimentary bread baskets as well. Super cool environment with a window view of the water and bridge.
