We always stop here when we travel but was not to impressed this time. First off they had barely any soda products to offer they were out of flavors. Food was good but it was just barely warm like it sat for awhile before bringing it out. You can tell just by how the gravy was settled on the chicken and mashed potatoes. Then she was rushing us by giving us our slip to cash out in the middle of eating.
The food was delicious as expected. The service was good but not great the reason for only 3 stars. The server left our check right after we got our dinners and didn 't return. Even with us trying to get her attention. The check had a nice note circled stating 'gratuity not included ' with a pleasant 'thank you ' written below. I found that servers actions to be highly presumptive. I understand tipping in the US is expected since servers do not receive a living wage in most places. However, tipping is for good service not due to a note left on the receipt. We 've never had less than stellar service at a Cracker Barrel before. First time for everything. We will bypass this location the next time we travel.
Our most recent visit was solid, but had room for improvement. I ate with my daughter, mother, and grandmother. My food was cooked well. My mother wanted the bone-in fried chicken, but they were out. Grandmother wanted her side dish to be the sweet potatoes. Out of that, too. Daughter's chicken-n-dumplings was dry. I'm Chalking it up to being busy location at a prime time
Wait staff very nice. Food steadily good. Excellent for southern down home cooking. I prefer the breakfasts. Our cashier was busy talking to someone about moles, so checkout took almost 15 minutes for her to tear herself away long enough to ring us through.
