Hayashi - Lubbock

Fried rice a little bland compared to other Japanese steak houses I've visited.

I ordered Sushi to pick up. The sushi was ready on time the staff was friendly. Once we got home and had our sushi, I was quite disappointed. The tempura shrimp inside was so cold and seemed like it was cooked the day before. Overall, the roles were very average.

Hayashi offers a fun and engaging experience. Kid friendly. Staff members are welcoming. It's a nice atmosphere! They do a really good job entertaining and taking care of their customers. Thank you! We will definitely be back!

The food was spectacular. From the appearance of the restaurant and the grill stations. They even have a real koi fish pond!! It was so beautiful. The wait staff was amazingly patient and kind and very attentive the whole time my family and I enjoyed our dinner. The chef preparing our food was funny and had jokes and interacted with every person at the table and put on an awesome show for our food. He even gave tips for making this style of food at home! The food was absolutely delicious with just enough flavor and portion size. I would highly recommend this location to anyone wanting hibachi!!

We've been eating at Hayashi for 15 years. In recent years, the quality of some things have declined. 1. The flavor of wasabi has become inconsistent and is often bland. 2. The napkins always smell moldy. 3. The artificial plants above the koi pond are filthy. 4. The tables often feel grimy when we are seated. I hate to see this restaurant become less than it used to be.
