On The Border Mexican Grill Cantina

I visited for a meal and was impressed by the excellent service. However, when I ordered a chicken and cheese quesadilla to go, I specifically requested it without veggies and onions. Unfortunately, when I got home, I found it included those ingredients, making it frustrating as I couldn't eat it and wasted money.

We ordered 4 enchiladas, on 2 there was chili and it tasted like really,really bad canned chili, at best. The other two were as bland as they could possibly be. The appetizer sampler was also terrible, the chicken quesadillas and flaunts were also very very bland. The fajita steak nachos however were really tasty.

We had a party of 7 and a high chair. We had to wait over an HOUR to be seated and that was after we finally requested to be sat at two separate tables. Once sat, we sat for FIFTEEN minutes without even a waitress or waiter greeting us, getting chips and salsa, or waters. We left. We weren’t waiting around for awful service or awful food. Will never visit again.

I don’t understand how this strange behavior was accepted. I took my friend who is still recovering from surgery to dinner this evening. We requested a booth due to her recovery. As we approached the bar area we spot an empty booth containing 2 nearly empty drinks and some messy chip crumbs left behind. I asked the host if we could wait for that last booth to be cleared. Suddenly a women comes out of nowhere and yells “I’m still HERE!” Just not “here” …what does that even mean? This extremely rude guest was literally taking up TWO different tables and on opposite sides to the restaurant. I’m shocked your waitstaff allowed this. Very disappointing sitting at a high top table watching my uncomfortable friend stare at that empty booth the rest of our experience.

Chips and Salsa are very good. My fajita quesadilla was very good. The price was good. The waiter worked hard to get everyone's order right.
