Hippopotamus - Louveciennes

Food is very good and prices ok, but they tend to have staff problems.Nice situation by the river 'Seine'.They did have play area but not sure if it is still there and high chairs available and changing area.

The food was obviously cooked to a chain standard but still good The set-price menu is good value, as it included 1/2L of wine each Loved the dessert-Ile flottant

Where to start... My family and I where looking for somewhere to eat that would provide something for my son as he's a fussy eater after spending all day Disneyland we were tired and wanted something quick. On arrival the outside of the restaurant was very pleasant and we decided to dine at the Hippopotamus Grill. The service was quick however when the food arrived the staff practically threw it on the table. My burger (after asking for well done meat) they served me a burger that was practically blue and the bun was dripping in blood. I ended up eating French fries that I could have brought from McDonalds for a fraction of the price.After a visit to the bathroom I realised that there were squashed food all over it at the toilets were filfthy.My partner and I were in for a bigger surprise when the bill came, as the night before we had enjoyed a very nice Italian next door that was no where near as expensive and the quality / service etc was so much better. So to sum up our experience at the Grill we would say save your money and go to McDonalds!!!

- Always long to take the order - the meat and french fries were cold - mistake in the orders - toilets were dirty

The staff looked a little overworked, rushing around with not enought time to help the diner. If you like your meat well cooked, asking for it very will done and you may get medium/rare, you have been warned!
