I haven't found this dish at many other establishments, and Pa Ord does an excellent job. It may be slightly sweeter than a street version, but the fragrant spicy broth is very satiating. An order may seem a bit thin with noodles, so do consider ordering extra noodles if you're really hungry. The Fish Cake slices are also very well made and pair well. A medium spice level is perfect for the season Thai food fan. Other regular favorites such as the Pad Thai and Drunken Noodles are also very good. Stir fry dishes seem to also be the tasty craft coming out of the kitchen. The only disappointment appears to be some of the quality of the proteins in the various dishes. Although with excellent spices and flavors, the proteins seem to be lesser cuts being tough and maybe overcooked a bit. Otherwise, Pad Ord can deliver some great well known Thai flavors that many other restaurants seem to be holding back on or subduing.
The food here is great, but you really have to double check them on your to-go orders! This is the 2nd time they’ve messed up my order. Last time they gave me chicken instead of pork, and this time they left out a whole side of rice!
I was excited to try the boat noodles at this restaurant given its high ratings, but I found them to be overly sweet. It felt like there was way too much sugar in the seasoning. I had a similar experience with other dishes as well. While the food is okay, it didn't meet my expectations based on the reputation of the place. There are other spots in Thai Town that I prefer and would recommend over this one. Overall, my experience was disappointing.
It was our first time coming here and the food was decent. You can order at a table or order from the counter where there're some food already ready to be served. I had a tom yum noodle soup and it was really authentic and really good!! No need to add anything to the dish at all as it was already perfect. Other dishes that my family got (spring rolls, crispy pork belly dish, and omelets) were just okay in my opinion. I got the chrysanthemum drink and it was really bland. They might have forgotten to add some sugar into it so I definitely don't recommend that drink if you like sweet (In Thailand, this drink usually comes sweet). The service was very friendly. Please note that they charge 15% gratuities for a group of 5 or more.
Lots of times that we're in the L.A área we stop by Pa Ord Noodle. This place is excellent. Never fails.Service is great! The area was remodeled and looks great. Music in the background very nice.
