Kazunori: The Original Hand Roll

I absolutely love this restaurant, whether I'm in NYC or LA. Unfortunately, they ran out of salmon. While that would have been acceptable, I found it quite disappointing that their only substitute was cucumber. It felt a bit petty! Food: 5/5.

I had a fantastic experience with their fresh and delicious hand rolls at very reasonable prices! My favorites were the toro and bay scallop. The 5-piece set was the perfect portion to satisfy my hunger. I'll definitely return when I crave hand rolls without breaking the bank. The toro and bay scallop in the set were excellent, and I also enjoyed the yellowtail. The crab and lobster were just okay, but overall, it was a great meal!

On a positive note, the store manager was a kind and welcoming gentleman, displaying high professionalism. The counter setting is effective and enjoyable, though the music was too loud for conversation with friends. Overall, it seems they lack a true understanding of sushi or temaki sushi. It's honestly disappointing that this is the level of sushi being offered in a place like LA in 2023.

Firstly, don't get scared because of the wait. At KazuNori, there are no reservations, and you must wait in a line to sit at a table. The wait is very different, depending on the time of day you are at the restaurant. Once you sit down, you can get a drink such as a Mexican Coca-Cole or Mexican Sprite, which I find much better then regular Coca-Cola or Sprite. You can also get a green tea, sake, beer, and much more. For the rolls, salmon and crab are my favorite, and the salmon sashimi is fire.Overall, 5 stars.

Such a relaxing place and delicious food! The price is very nice too! a must try restaurant for Japanese food lovers!
