Il Patio Di Eataly - Los Angeles

I was really disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. Despite being called Il Patio, there is no actual outdoor patio - just tables set up near the escalators outside Macy's. This made for a noisy atmosphere where it felt like we were being constantly observed by mall shoppers. Additionally, those waiting for tables were seated close to us, violating social distancing guidelines. Our server was pleasant and efficient, but unfortunately, the overall experience was very unpleasant. This was meant to be a special occasion, but it was completely ruined.

Everything about Eataly is tasty and fresh! Il Patio was a fun, casual experience for Eataly. We had a flatbread, pasta, wine and dessert. Everything was wonderful!

Il patio is on the mall walkway. Service was slow and not very accommodating. The entire dinner we smelled propane from space heaters and the manager said they were checked in the morning and didn’t bother to check again even though we could smell it our entire meal. Food was sup par not as good as eating upstairs in the better restaurants.

I booked a reservation at this restaurant for my daughter's 22nd birthday. I was disappointed to find out that we would be seated in a food court. The food was average for most of us, but one person in our group loved it. The service, on the other hand, was exceptional. Our server, Cynthia, was fantastic. They even gave my daughter a glass of wine with her burger, which was a nice touch.

The food at the restaurant was excellent, but it was a bit expensive considering we were sitting outside of Macy's instead of enjoying a rooftop view. There was some confusion with the check-ins at the different sections of the restaurant. Il Patio recommended going upstairs for rooftop seating, while Le Pizza/Le Pasta suggested going downstairs. Next time, I'll probably make a reservation at Terra for a better experience.
